I have found that women, when we look into natural temperaments, have offices with storing shelves and cabinets (in their heads) of records of people and things that were done or said to them wrongly, improperly or crudely. Literally! We never forget, even if we forgive, we won't forget. It's encrypted in every woman's DNA and entrenched in every fiber of her being. Trust me bloggers, if a woman denies that, she's a con artist and you should never trust her. They always try to say, "Oh, I am better than those unapprised women" when you tell them that if you get on her bad side, she will commit to memory events from a specific date and time of day and spring it on you. It will be like this, "You gave me the stink eye when I was about to greet you on Monday morning at work, right beside the teacher's lounge, at 9:37 AM; as the sun was shining north-by-north-east. I know that because the glare from your Gucci shades were angled just to ricochet the rays into my eyes, which, by the way, infuriated me but I was being the bigger person then, and resisted all my nature urges to rip them from your face. Just so that you know that I am being open and direct, it was half way into the third quarter of the academic year. I also knew you wear sun glasses indoors so that people don't greet you because you make-believe you can't see them. Come on!"
You see, if we are to dispute with anybody (husbands, siblings, friends, acquaintances and co-workers) the shelves and files come flying open! It's inexorable. It's not only me bloggers! Don't be uppity, it's our (predominately women) effort to keep things (big or little) from constrict our tactic or relations. We turn the other cheek and smile. Nowadays, confrontations are encouraged among people (because it's sooo intellectual) and that's like, asking someone to burp out loud, in public after drinking a liter of soda pop. It's a huge change that, we are disinclined to initiate… Much less can. Can you go against your nature? No, so, just enhance it, is what I say.
This is the issue men can confirm (huge theme in books and film). Women never forget. It requires therapy and a bunch of "You/it made me feel..." and "I feel..."
Women! Don't even attempt to deny it by leaving "rational" comments because it's a beautiful quirk that we have and it's what makes us to charming and alluring. I think mine is anyway. Just accept it, denial is only in Egypt. I used to feel bad about it (today actually) until I realized that it's not only me and that I am not broken, it's ALL of the women. Which then, made me laugh.

Books of Forgiveness
Remember the statement of wisdom that some people have when they want to seem philosophical? It is basically similar to: Life is like a book that contains a beginning, middle and end with it's events and morals.
Sometimes, when I read a book, I turn to previously read chapters to recap, reanalyze or just revisit for old times sake. I find that there are people and events that took place in life that I have flagged for whatever reasons, possibly because I did not resolve them as I wanted but took the easy way out or I just did not want to deal with them. That's not to say I need to fix or alter anything, it just means, I sometimes have a certain curiosity to go and see what happened and what changed, but as an observer.
One of those that I consider prominent and of value is my grandmother. It's almost a year since her death and I find myself wishing I spent more time being with her instead of feeling guilty over homework assignments that I did not attempt to finish, but instead looked at. I know regretting this is futile and in a way, a harsh lesson that I learned for the present, not to mention the future. I also recognize the responsibility I must shoulder for making the choices I have made. There's not a single second that I could relive or turn back, which is fine as long as I learn something; I have. I've learned to push myself to spend time with people who matter instead of punish myself and not take proper actions. As lame as it sounds, forgiving yourself is not easy or something everyone can do.

Questionaire
What do you do when a cyber "friend" that you have known for a little while spreads the contents of your conversations with them among "their" other cyber "friends"? What do you do, when you find out that that "friend" backstabs you cyber-ly using whatever that "friend" knows?
I know what I'd do, but what would YOU do to such a disgusting creature? ;)

Twenty-Five Secrets
I've been thinking of all the tags that are out there and I realized that there are "100 Things About Me" which can be quite dull and disappointing and I thought "Why not a 25 secrets tag?" It's definitely easy to write nonsense in bundles but 25 gems is way better.
OK. They could be good secrets or horrible ones. You get to choose the tone.
1. I can cross stitch.
2. I love to cook but I don't like to be asked questions while cooking. I'm a quiet cook.
3. When I drive, I focus on the road so much; I do not look or speak to the passengers. I speak to them more than I look to them. Meaning, I take my driving seriously. It's so odd.
4. I think "Gümüs" the series, also known as "Noor" is silly but I have watched two episodes because it got interesting for a second.
5. Captain Planet was one of my favorite shows, growing up. I also liked "Thundercats" but did not know what they said at the time. I didn't even know the concept of it or what the characters strengths were. Now, I do! Thanks to this clip (JUST because Thundercats is so yesterday).
6. I LOVED watching "Nawwar" as a preteen, so much that after watching it on the local channel, I bought the series on VHS. Each video tape cost 3 KD ($10). Guess what? She grows up to be a doctor. (We're too cool for VHS now)
These are the opening credits. Notice the weird melody? I used to think it was impeccable and genius.
7. I used to watch a set in Toronto, Canada, medical series called "Side Effects". It was amazing! I thought, at least. It ran from 1994 - 1996 and was beat by "ER" and "Chicago Hope". In fact, the night I was waiting to watch "Side Effects", "ER" made it's debut on the local channel and I was furious and held a grudge against "ER" for "stealing" my show's slot. I still watched "ER", though... With hate a good while.
8. I have a thing for medical dramas.
9. I have a firm understanding about my likes, dislikes and wants from life but I don't always proclaim them. Mainly because I consider them "my" own and private. That said; I share them with CLOSE relations (family and friends).
10. I write poetry. I don't share it all.
11. I tend to distrust people forever really, really quickly if I find that they said or did something I don't approve of.
12. I have trust issues.
13. Apparently, I'm inflexible but I am diplomatic. I can not be lenient about my principles or rules but if "you" break them, I won't lecture "you," but I will remember why "you" cannot be expected to conduct things as properly as "you" are required/expected/told.
14. I enjoy: web.tickle.com I even have an account there! :p
15. I used to be a shy and introverted child. I became an extroverted teen and adult. Now, I am both.
16. I love art in all it's decent forms.
17. I love "Gone with the Wind" book and film.
18. "Le Grand Voyage" makes me cry, EVERY TIME.
19. "Sleeping Beauty", "Thumbelina", "Tarzan" and "Jungle Book" are obnoxious to me. More so when I was a child.
20. I thought "Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs" was creepy and I am surprised she could sleep with strangers in the middle of the forest and with wild animals but did not have a nervous breakdown.
21. I had trouble believing that Mowgli, Tarzan and Thumbelina did not die even as cartoon characters.
22. "The Rescuers" was my favorites... AND "Artistocats"
23. When I was six years old, I thought the moon used to follow us while my mother drove the car. Therefore, I am a narcissist. JUST KIDDING.
24. I can never get enough of documentaries.
25. "Rescue 911" with William Shatner was a weekly staple in our house when we were little.

Where is the line between cute and plain creepy? It is when certain people watch television shows such as "Sex and the City" (I hate it), and say "I'm like What's Her Name" or "My friends say I am just like What's Her Name". You know, viewers, bloggers, listeners that that crazy WISHES to be What's Her Name. Plain and simple. I hate that too. What is it about actors who PRETEND to be characters on a show and viewers needing to be their real life replica? It makes me mad. Why must actors repeatedly remind "Fans" that all that is pretend? It has morphed into worse things, such as other people taking advantage of celebrity whereabouts and posting them online (I know it's old) and literally putting them in jeoprady. I found this clip on YouTube where the editor of the site speaks.
Yeah... She's all about logic.

Movies, Mawwa and Quirks
I finally saw "Baby Mama", starring Tina Fey and Amy Poehler. It was good and pleasantly surprising, to have had Steve Martin, Greg Kinnear, Sigourney Weaver and Maura Tierney in it. They all had minor roles (what a waste to their talents) but equally entertaining. However, I do not understand why on earth Maura Tierney works in movies who give her tiny roles. It's annoying. I say significant roles that serve you as an actor or none. Why waste? Unless, she wants to work with the people and have connections or whatever, then "OK". Whatever floats your boat? MAKE A MOVIE MAURA TIERNEY. Ugh...
My goodness.
I'm not saying everything people do has to be done in a certain way because I am not a tyrant, but I am saying, utilize your skills properly or don't. I've been waiting for the film for so long and hoped to see Mawwwa Tee-ney in a role dissimilar to "ER's" Abby Lockhart (who at some points, needed to be killed off because the storyline got unbelievably depressing and bleak) and now, it's like fasting a whole month and then breaking my fast with pumpkin seeds which do not fill me nor satisfy me. I had expectations! They weren't met! *dramatic sounds* And since we're on this topic, what was she thinking when she decided to do "Semi-Pro"? She must have been out of her mind for accepting such a deal. I've noticed most of her films, even though with "significant" stars, flop. Weird. Makes me wonder what kind of intentions people had before they and whilst they were doing them. Forget Karma. Intentions make or break.
Anyway, as tagged by Arabian Lady, I must do this and here it goes:
Rules:
1. Link the person(s) who tagged you.
2. Mention the rules on your blog.
3. Tell about 6 unspectacular quirks of yours.
4. Tag 6 following bloggers by linking them.
5. Leave a comment on each of the tagged blogger’s blogs letting them know they’ve been tagged.
My Quirks:
1. I tend to get passionate over whatever and need convince people to believe in what I say, which means, I am driven.
2. I am in the process of cutting chocolate and caffeine out of my diet. So far, so good. However, I get moments of relapses and other times I think I am crazy or on the way because of this.
3. I can't drive while wearing high heels. I get anxious and erratic on the road.
4. I like animals but I reached a point in life, in which I cannot possibly have any.
5. I LOVE the cooking channel.
6. I tend to speak in English 90% of the time but my parents are KUWAITIS 100% and that makes me odd. Blame the American schools I've attended. Hence: Atypical Kuwaiti woman.
I TAG:
